Finger Lakes Ekklesia Network

We are a network of four house churches that interrelate between Seneca Lake and Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Most of our house churches move around quite a bit from house to house so our meetings can take place in a number of different towns in that region from week to week. We usually always meet on Sundays, but the time of day can vary quite a bit. Our meetings include songs, testimonies, prayers, Bible reading and discussion, the manifestations of the Spirit as listed in 1 Cor. 12, and sharing the Lord's supper as a full meal. Children participate for the whole meeting time. Our sisters have a good deal of liberty in sharing during our meetings, but we ask them to refrain from formal teaching and from judging teachings or prophecies during the meeting. Some of our house churches have elders while others have not yet appointed one. Our house churches are elder led, but not elder ruled. All decisions affecting any given group are made consensually by the members of the group.

Our house churches gather on the first Sunday of every month for a network meeting. These meetings are somewhat more formal than our regular weekly gatherings.
